A Bunny is what I found."
We also find a bee, frog, butterfly, and mouse.

I use stick puppets as well, so the children have a visual.

Raindrops Falling
(Sung to "Frere Jacques")

Raindrops falling,
(wiggle fingers downward)
Raindrops falling,
From the sky,
From the sky.
Put up an umbrella,
(pretend to hold umbrella)
Put up an umbrella,
Nice and dry,
Nice and dry.
Showers over,
Showers over,
Sun aglow,
(make circle overhead with arms)
Sun aglow.
See the pretty flowers,
(wiggle fingers next to head)
See the pretty flowers,
In a row,
In a row.
Unfortunately, I can't remember where I found the lyrics for this song.

Sing a Rainbow.

    Gardens & Flowers

This theme was used in a toddlers and twos program.

    Books

The Wind's Garden by Bethany Roberts
The Small Seed by Judith Nicholls
    Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell

Dear Zoo has nothing to do with gardens or flowers, but I decided to add an extra book. The group was listening so nicely! It's a great book that encourages interaction with the kids. They love guessing the animals and making noises.

The activity for the day was shaker eggs! They are always a favorite with the toddlers.
